The Fotografica ballpoint pen is a limited edition of just 500 pens, each pen individually handmade in Germany. The pen comes in a gift box and includes a soft brown leather storage pouch.
As its name suggests, this pen pays homage to the classic Leica M3 camera of the 50's and regarded by many as the best 35mm camera in its class. It is an intriging pen, a one of its kind. Designed by photographer and pen enthusiast, Stephen C. Lucht it evokes the look amd feel of the Leica.
The attention to detail is astounding, metal parts are recreated from magnesium alloy as used in many cameras. The black coating on the barrel replicates the covering of the M3. The clip is shaped like a film winding lever from a camera. The knurled top button is similar to the winder on many cameras.
Its special feature is the 'Stanhope' lens in the top of the pen that enables the viewing of a hidden microphotograph. By removing this part and looking through it you will see vintage scenes one of 23 different French cities in mini.
Its an impressive pen and has been featured in Leica Fotografie International, the official magazine of the esteemed camera maker.
